October 28th is First Responder Day, a day to honor the millions of first responders nationwide.

Folds of Honor has supported the family members of fallen veterans for many years, but is now also giving scholarships to children of first responders.

A retired 30-year veteran of the Tulsa Police Department, Luke Sherman, helped expand the mission of the non-profit to include first responders.

Sherman now works with Folds of Honor to serve and support first responders and their families across the country. Sherman says they noticed a gap in support for the families of fallen first responders, and Folds of Honor wanted to fill that gap.
