QUINCY (WGEM) - Alley resurfacing projects throughout Quincy are set to start Thursday.

Engineering Manager Steve Bange said work will begin on several alley’s throughout the city starting in phases.

In the first phase, Bange said crews will mill out the existing pavement, followed by new asphalt surface being places the next day.

Bange said the alley’s will be inaccessible to residents for about two hours each day.

According to Bange, alleyway work will start on the northside of town and progress to the southside.

A list of the alleyway’s being resurfaced:

Spruce to Sycamore between 3rd & 4th

Spruce to Sycamore between 4th & 5th

Sycamore to Maple between 4th & 5th

13th to Spruce, south of Spruce

Sycamore to Maple between 12th & 13th

6th to 7th between Lind & Chestnut
