The Belmont County Courthouse made a cameo appearance in an episode of an HBO comedy series.

“The Chair Company” briefly showed a picture of the courthouse hanging on the wall roughly 9 minutes, 24 seconds into the third episode of the inaugural season.

The episode, titled “@BrownDerbyHistoricVids Little bit of Hollywood? Okayyy,” sees show creator and star Tim Robinson walking past the picture while playing Ron Trosper, who attempts to prove a conspiracy theory after an off-putting incident at his workplace.

Belmont County Tourism Council executive director Jackee Pugh said that she was unaware of a picture of the courthouse being shown in the series but is excited to see the county get showcased.

“It’s always so exciting when Belmont County gets focused on a bigger stage,” Pugh said.
