Gold prices in Ahmedabad dropped by Rs 2,340 to Rs 1,23,330 per 10 grams, while in the national capital, the yellow metal fell by Rs 4,100 to Rs 1,21,800 per 10 grams on Tuesday. Globally, gold slipped below USD 4,000 an ounce as easing US-China trade tensions dampened its safe-haven appeal.
According to All India Sarafa Association, gold had closed at Rs 1,25,900 per 10 grams in Delhi on Monday. “This decline is attributed to technical selling that occurred after intra-day failure to maintain levels above the USD 4,000 psychological threshold,” Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.
Silver prices also registered a steep fall of Rs 6,250 to Rs 1,45,000 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes) on Tuesday in the national captial. The metal had ended
