A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in Compton Tuesday night.

Los Angeles County deputies responded to the 100 block of East Rosecrans Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Deputies found the victim, identified only as an adult male, lying on the ground unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
