Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has apologized to Mahinder Kaur , the 78-year-old woman from Bahadurgarh Jandian village in Punjab, at a Bathinda court. The defamation case stems from Kangana’s tweet in 2020, when she insinuated that the woman spotted headlining the farmer protests in the country was the same “dadi” who led the Shaheen Bagh protest in New Delhi. She hinted that the woman sat during these protests in exchange of Rs 100.

Kangana appeared before the Bathinda court this week and not only apologized to Kaur, but also paid Rs 50,000 as bail. The next hearing is scheduled for November 24. However, Kaur has claimed that she’ll “never forgive” the actor for her remarks. “She has never met me. I will not forgive her,” said Kaur.
