New Delhi, Oct 29: The Supreme Court on Wednesday sought responses from the Centre and the Ladakh administration on an amended plea filed by Gitanjali Angmo, wife of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, challenging his detention under the National Security Act (NSA).
Wangchuk was detained from Ladakh in late September following violent protests in the Union Territory. His wife subsequently moved the apex court through a habeas corpus petition, seeking his immediate release.
A bench of the top court has listed the matter for further hearing on November 24 after issuing notices to the respondents. More details are awaited. (Agencies)
