EVERETT — One person sustained minor injuries in a vehicle versus train collision Tuesday afternoon in front of the Edmonds Ferry Terminal.

Around 11:42 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to reports of a train crashing into the front of a white Toyota Camry that extended into the railroad crossing, according to Edmonds Police Department spokesperson Josh McClure. The collision blocked Main Street and Dayton Street for around an hour.

In a post on X at 12:22 p.m., Washington State Ferries said the Edmonds-Kingston ferry route will remain out of service until the train is cleared.

At 12:47 p.m., officers reopened the roads, and the train resumed its route.

First responders transported the victim to the Swedish Edmonds Campus for undisclosed injuries.
