Pizza chains appear to be takin a hit these days.
Streets of New York Inc. , a family-owned pizza chain that was established in 1976 and has been the official pizza of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to reorganize its business.
The pizza chain, which operates 16 locations — with 15 in Arizona and one in Las Vegas — filed its petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona on Oct. 16, listing $100,000 to $1 million in assets and liabilities, per the Bankruptcy Observer .
The reason why the chain filed for bankruptcy wasn’t indicated in the petition.
On Oct. 17, the bankruptcy court filed a deficiency notice with the debtor and the debtors council, which revealed that all required documents were not filed in court.
