CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Wednesday and Thursday are FOX19 NOW First Alert Weather Days.

Widespread rain that will be heavy at times and gusty winds pose a great impact on travel and outdoor plans both days, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team.

While we will notice periods of dry time and lighter rain showers, the breezes and puddles stick around.

Wind gusts are expected to top 20 mph at times, but will not be strong enough to cause damage, according to the weather team.

However, the combination of rain and wind will make both Wednesday and Thursday feel chilly.

Wet leaves this time of year can be a hidden hazard on the road.

Be sure to increase the distance behind the car in front of you on the roads.

Expect a chilly Halloween by Friday.

A few showers are possible before dawn.
