India and Nepal on Wednesday took another step towards strengthening their energy partnership, with the two sides signing agreements to develop new cross-border power transmission lines aimed at boosting electricity trade and regional grid stability.
Nepal’s Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, met Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal in New Delhi to review ongoing cooperation in the power sector. The discussions covered progress on hydropower projects in Nepal and initiatives to deepen regional grid connectivity for cleaner and more reliable energy exchange.
