WASHINGTON — More than 127,000 pounds of BBQ pulled pork sandwiches are under recall because it may contain pieces of plastic that pose a choking hazard.
E.A. Sween Company issued a recall for 127,887 pounds of its Deli Express BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich, according to a notice published on Oct. 27 by the Food and Drug Administration.
The sandwiches were sold nationwide and in Guam through convenience stores, grocery stores and mass retailers between Jan. 16, 2025, and Oct. 23. The recalled pork sandwiches were also shipped to the Department of Defense, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety Inspection Service.
The recall began after multiple consumer complaints about plastic fragments found in the pork sandwich product. E.A. Sween, a Minnesota-based company, said
