LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Nearly five years after a devastating hurricane forced it to hold classes in temporary buildings, St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles is moving forward with a plan to rebuild and expand on a brand new campus. We spoke with Father Whitney Miller and Mike Veron this morning to get the details on the construction.

The new 42-acre campus will be built in South Lake Charles on Corbina Road and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2027.

It will be about three times as big as the old campus and will include a new two-story academic building, library, gymnasium, soccer and athletic fields, and a central plant that will offer vocational training. Eventually, the campus will also have a visual and media arts building as well as an 800-seat chapel.
