The countdown is on: 100 days until the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Some of the greatest athletes in the world will be seeking gold in the Italian alps of Milan and Cortina.

Among the hopefuls from the Bay Area is Olympian figure skater Alysa Liu, who is fresh off a 2025 world title and returns to the games after a sixth-place finish at the Beijing Olympics in 2022 at age 16.
