Halloween is getting closer, and some families in San Jose are already dressing up Wednesday night for a very unique experience inside a home – a Harry Potter themed house.

Britta and Glen have spent weeks getting everything ready to welcome thousands of families into their home in San Jose’s Rose Garden neighborhood for the Harry Potter experience through Hogwarts, where visitors will get a chance to cast several spells.

The house’s theme changes each year, and for the owners, it’s all about the smiles on people’s faces.

“That we can spread joy locally and then fundraise to spread joy even farther to kids who really need it,” said Britta Peterson, owner of the home.
