Taco dinner kits Teasdale Latin Foods recalled in October 2025 due to a potential undeclared milk allergen.

A Texas food manufacturer has recalled some taco dinner kits sold in Aldi, Giant, and Martin’s stores because they were packaged with cocoa mix packets instead of taco seasoning, posing a risk to people with milk sensitivities.

Teasdale Foods, Inc. announced the recall on Oct. 25, according to a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notice. The company stated that the recalled Martin’s and Giant Crunchy Taco Dinner Kits, as well as its Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kits, were sold in 28 U.S. states.

The kits may contain undeclared milk, which increases the risk of a life-threatening allergic reaction for individuals who are allergic or severely sensitive to milk, according to an FDA notice published on Oct. 28.

The company said no illnesses have been reported in relation to the recalled products.

Here’s what to know about Teasdale Foods' taco kit recall.

Which taco kits have been recalled?

According to Teasdale Foods, customers complained that the taco dinner kits contained cocoa mix packets instead of taco seasoning packets. The cocoa mix packets contain milk, but the packaging did not list milk as an ingredient, the company said.

The food manufacturer attributed the mix-up to a third-party company mislabeling the taco seasoning packets, which it provides.

Due to the issue, the following taco dinner kits were recalled:

  • Martin’s and Giant Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit – UPC: 68826757516, Lot code: 25257, Best if used by date: March 13, 2026
  • Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kit – UPC: 4099100318715, Lot code: 25259, Best if used by date: March 15, 2026

Which states were the recalled taco kits sold in?

The kits were sold at Giant, Martin’s, and Aldi retail stores in the following states: Alabama, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

What should customers do if they have the recalled taco kits?

Teasdale Foods, Inc. recommends that those who have purchased the product return it to the store of purchase for a full refund. Those with questions can contact the company at teasdalecomplaints@teasdalefoods.com.
