NEW YORK (PIX11) -- With SNAP benefits set to expire on Nov. 1 due to the government shutdown, one delivery company is working to help ease the expected financial burden on customers.
The service Gopuff will offer $50 in free groceries for SNAP EBT customers in November, according to an announcement posted to social media on Tuesday.
To qualify for the offer, customers can add their SNAP EBT card as a payment method on the Gopuff app and use the codes SNAPRELIEF1 between Nov. 1 and Nov. 15 and SNAPRELIEF2 between Nov. 16 and Nov. 30 to get a $25 credit with free delivery.
"We're committed to showing up in the ways that matter most to the people and communities we serve," the company wrote in the social media post.
