Giggle for Girls founder Sall Grover has backed the Queensland government’s decision to reissue a ban on puberty blockers.

Hours after a Queensland court lifted a ban on prescriptions for children and adolescents, state Health Minister Tim Nicholls issued a direction for tight restrictions on the drugs.

The decision came at the same time as the Queensland Health department paused the dismissal of psychiatrist Dr Jillian Spencer - after she raised concerns over the use of puberty blockers.

Ms Grover welcomed the reissuing of the ban and urged the government to immediately reinstate Dr Spencer.
