With Halloween just around the corner, it seems that the weather is playing a trick on parts of West Texas rather than bringing a treat.
The National Weather Service is forecasting sub-freezing temperatures for parts of West Texas on Thursday, prompting NWS to issue a Freeze Warning.
According to the NWS, the warning has been placed on Crosby, Lubbock, Lynn, Terry and Briscoe counties.
The NWS is forecasting the sub-freezing temperatures to dip as low as 25 degrees around 3 a.m to 9 a.m., with frost and freeze conditions having the potential to kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
