IRVING, Texas ( 25News Now ) - Caterpillar said sales and revenue in the 3Q went up 10 percent compared to the second quarter of 2024.
Those numbers were released early Wednesday morning. CAT said sales and revenues came in at $17.6 billion in 2025, up from $16.1 billion a year ago.
Caterpillar CEO Joe Creed said that increase is primarily due to higher sales volume, mainly driven by higher sales of equipment to end users.
“Solid performance from our team generated strong results this quarter, driven by resilient demand and focused execution across our three primary segments,” Creed said in a prepared statement. “Our team’s continued discipline in a dynamic environment, coupled with a growing backlog, positions us for sustained momentum and long-term profitable growth.”
