FARMINGTON, CT (WFSB) - Big Y announced on Wednesday a new location at Westfarms in Farmington.

Big Y said its Westfarms store is slated to open in Spring 2027 on the southern side of the Westfarms property.

“We’re thrilled to become part of the vibrant Westfarms community after a long search for the right opportunity,” said Mathieu D’Amour, vice president of real estate and development. “This new location will deepen our connection with customers in Central Connecticut and allow us to continue delivering our signature customer service through our exceptional and knowledgeable employees.”

More details about the roughly 53,000 square feet store, including hiring opportunities and grand opening events, will be shared in the coming months, the franchise said.
