MUSKEGON, Mich. — After a man was arraigned on charges related to shooting at two Muskegon Township police officers , court documents obtained by 13 ON YOUR SIDE revealed new details on the incident.

Janari Kemon Spencer, 19, was arraigned Monday on two charges of Assault with Intent to Murder.

The shooting happened on Wednesday, Oct. 15, around 1:10 a.m.

According to probable cause documents, two Muskegon Township police officers were responding to a home in the 1600 block of Ada Avenue for an active harassment/stalking complaint.

One of the officers was headed westbound on Ada Avenue when he saw a man wearing dark clothing standing in the grassy area behind the Wesco gas station located at 1675 E Apple Avenue.

The gas station is located around the corner from the Ada Avenue home.
