LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Las Vegas experienced a drop of 8.8% in the number of visitors in September, and resorts also made less money per hotel room than they did a year earlier, according to a Friday report from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
While nearly 3.1 million people visited Las Vegas, that was 297,700 fewer than in September 2024. Hotel occupancy also dropped to 78.7% from 83.9% last year, the report stated.
Hotel room prices dropped slightly, with the average room rate at $190.56. Prices were higher on the Strip ($206.54) and lower in Downtown Las Vegas ($98.83).
