SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Rogersville man has been jailed after allegedly attacking a woman in an unprovoked assault captured on surveillance video in Springfield.
According to online court dockets, Nicholas Lee Munguia, born in 1983, is charged with first-degree assault — serious physical injury or special victim — in Greene County Circuit Court.
The probable cause statement says the assault happened at around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, outside of a business on E. Bennett St. in Springfield.
Officers from the Springfield Police Department (SPD) were dispatched after multiple callers reported a man had assaulted a woman, kicked her in the head and was walking away from the scene.
Witnesses followed the suspect while updating dispatchers until the SPD detained Munguia in an alley near S. G
