ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Athens police are looking for the public’s help identifying a man who was fatally struck by a car on Sunday.
Police said officers responded to the intersection of Highway 29 N and Highway 72 around 11:40 p.m. Sunday and found a man who had been hit by a car. The man died at the scene.
The driver of the car was arrested and charged with first-degree vehicular homicide and DUI.
According to police, the victim was last seen at a nearby Whataburger.
