ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — The Orangeburg County School District says two students sustained minor puncture wounds during an altercation Wednesday afternoon on the campus of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.

According to the district, the incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. and involved three students.

School administrators said staff and law enforcement responded immediately, following the district’s established safety procedures and protocols.

Officials said the situation was quickly contained, the campus remained secure, and all students and staff were safe at all times.

District officials said there are no additional details available at this time as the investigation continues.
