Bridge engineers are currently on their way to the site to evaluate the extent of damage.

The partial collapse in 2024 was caused by a series of crashes by vehicles and large trucks over the last decade that weakened the supporting wall. Wednesday’s crash is another example of the recurring issues and the need to replace the aging bridge to meet today’s traffic needs.”
