MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Babies in the Mercyhealth NICU at Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside are gearing up to celebrate their first Halloween.
Mercyhealth shared these photos of the babies donning costumes like Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and a box of McDonald french fries.
JoAnn Gorsline, a nurse at the hospital, crafted 52 of these little costumes.
Gorsline said this project is about bringing light to families.
“I am motivated to do this because of the joy that it brings to the parents, especially when they see their little one in a costume,” said Gorsline. “It helps make the stay in the NICU a little bit more of a normalcy than what it normally is.”
This is her ninth year crafting costumes for babies in the NICU.
