The third-seeded Central Christian Tigers (22-5) will play host to the No. 30 Willamette Valley Christian Warriors (13-11) on Wednesday night in Round 1 of the Oregon 1A volleyball state championship playoffs .

Coach Danielle Benz’s Tigers finished 11-1 in the Mountain Valley League and earned the top seed out of the league. They enter the state playoffs having won their past nine matches.

The Warriors, coached by Elisa Hunter, finished in third place in the Casco League with a 10-4 league record. They are coming off a 3-1 win over Chemawa in a league playoff match Saturday.

Central Christian and Willamette Valley Christian have not met this season.

Opening serve is set for 6 p.m. PT on Wednesday, October 29, with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network .
