A former Minneapolis city council member was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash outside Minneapolis City Hall.
Hennepin County jail records show Alondra Espejel, 44, who served on city council under the name Alondra Cano, was arrested just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, and was held on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
According to a Minneapolis police report, Espejel was involved in a two-vehicle crash outside City Hall in downtown Minneapolis.
She allegedly refused to complete a field sobriety test, and was arrested.
Per police, no one was injured in the crash, and body worn camera footage of the incident is available.
