HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Today was the final stop on the tour for the Manufacturing Academy students in Henderson County.

Over the past month, students got to visit several local manufacturers to better understand the importance of trade jobs.

Today, the group visited Audubon Metals and Hydro Aluminum.

Students learned more about how these businesses serve the community and the many jobs offered there like welding, heavy machinery operation, maintenance, and electrical work.

Leaders at Audubon Metals say they hope this gets students excited about their futures.

“Our hope is that this opens a wide range of availability for these students to understand that there are trades that they can get into and seeing the different ones that we have available here,” says Angel Hill, human resources
