CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 28-year-old Harrison County man who violated his parole conditions by firing guns as part of a gender reveal party picked up another felony, but won't be headed to prison.
Harrison Chief Judge Christopher J. McCarthy took a plea to felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person from Parker Preston Dennison.
McCarthy then sentenced Dennison to five years, but suspended that for two years of probation. McCarthy also reinstated Dennison's parole, with a 43-day jail sanction.
Assistant Prosecutor Gina Renzelli and Dennison's lawyer, Harrison Defender Jordan Dishong, were able to bring the case to a quick conclusion, a plus for Dennison and his family.
