KEWAUNEE, Wis. (WBAY) - Food pantries across northeast Wisconsin are seeking help from their neighbors to keep their shelves stocked.

It comes as nearly 700,000 Wisconsinites are at risk of losing access to food assistance with federally funded FoodShare benefits set to run out in just three days.

The organizers of Project Feed Our Neighbors say, with the government shutdown possibly impacting SNAP benefits for many people, they want to do their part to help keep food pantries stocked.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between communities in Door, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc counties.

The food drive starts on November 8th and runs until November 15th, collecting non-perishable items at several community partner collection sites.
