LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
While Halloween, which is this Friday, might steal most of the headlines here, the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is Saturday, Nov. 1.
According to the owner of the Mexican barbecue restaurant Noche, Aaron Diaz, it's a huge deal for millions.
"When you have something worth celebrating, you should, and in our culture, this is our time of year," Diaz said.
The folks at Noche are starting the celebrations early with a bourbon tasting on Thursday and a Halloween party on Friday, with everything leading up to the big day.
"Saturday is really our big day, it's like our Christmas," Diaz said. "We're going to have face painting, dancers, mariachi — it's going to be great."
