El Paso ( 25News Now ) - An El Paso man who was previously arrested for allegedly vandalizing a Turning Point USA display at ISU is now in jail after allegedly making threats against President Donald Trump, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Officers said Derek Lopez was arrested by the FBI and El Paso police around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop. He was taken to the El Paso Police Department, where he was questioned by the FBI and Secret Service.

Lopez was later taken to the Woodford County Jail.

25News reached out to the FBI about which charges Lopez is facing, and was told authorities would release more information at a later time.
