BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS : A cold core upper-level low is spinning across Alabama, and this will bring falling temperatures, rain, clouds and cold conditions.

The rain won’t be heavy, but scattered showers, drizzle, and mist will continue off and on through tonight. Don’t leave the house without a jacket and the umbrella.

We’re already seeing upper 40s in areas northwest and temperatures overnight will tumble into the 40s. The clouds and light precipitation will linger through Thursday morning, so, plan for another dreary start to the day.

We won’t start to see some clearing until late Thursday, with highs in the 50s.
