MINOT, ND (KXNET) — The Magic City is celebrating a major milestone at their intermodal facility.

Rail Modal Group (RMG), in partnership with BNSF Railway, is celebrating the loading of its 1,000th train in the United States, right out of the Minot Intermodal Facility.

Minot, which serves as a key hub, helps producers ship products like soybeans, pulses, and dried distiller grains to markets around the world.

Mark Lyman with the Minot Area Chamber EDC said this is very significant for the city.

He said the facility benefits many producers and processors in the area by seeing their goods get shipped internationally.
