VINCENNES, Ind. (WEVV) — The City of Vincennes has signed a new Sister City partnership with the City of Ovruch, Ukraine, focusing on friendship and cultural exchange.
Mayor Yochum of Vincennes and Mayor Korud of Ovruch have expressed interest in forming this connection as a symbol of solidarity and cooperation between their cities.
“Both Vincennes and Ovruch are cities defined by history, strength, and perseverance,” Mayor Yochum said. “Our two communities may be separated by distance, but we are united in spirit – in dedication to our citizens, our belief in peace, and our shared hope for a brighter future.”
