GHENT, WV (WVNS)-- Every single person who has ever served time in the military has endured a vast array of experiences. They all end up with a story to tell-- and that’s why one man is dedicating his life to helping them tell those stories.

Chris Schafer is the CEO of Tactical 16 Publishing, which is a publishing company that helps veterans, first responders and their families tell their own stories in their own words. It not only helps veterans heal, but it helps them preserve their story through writing.

"We help these authors get their books out on the market and sell them to a wide variety of readers," said Schafer. "In the meantime, if we can help individuals therapeutically by just the power of writing itself, we want to foster that in everybody that has served."
