HAMPDEN -- The fifth seeded Buckfield Bucks will move on to the semi-final round of the Class D South playoffs after upsetting the fourth seeded Bangor Christian Patriots on Wednesday afternoon.

In the first half, Buckfield took a 1-0 lead, and were able to hold on to it throughout the first half by making timely saves and clearing the ball out of the zone effectively.

In the second half, it was more of the same for the Bucks defense. On a shot from Patriots senior Jesse Booker, goalkeeper Neil Haylock made a point blank save to maintain the lead.

Neither team would score in the second half of the contest, and the Bucks move on to the semi-finals with an 1-0 upset victory.
