Barnaby Joyce has denied allegations he yelled at a female staff member in Nationals whip Michelle Landry’s office on Wednesday morning.

The staff member had lodged a formal complaint with the Parliamentary Workplace Support Service after the dispute over a leave form.

According to a Sky News report, the New England MP had become disgruntled when he was asked to fill in the form to attend a funeral on Thursday rather than sit in Parliament.

“I deny the allegations, and respect the PWSS process which is now in train,” Mr Joyce said.

A spokeswoman from David Littleproud’s office said the Nationals leader wouldn’t be commenting on the allegations.
