NORWICH, Conn. — A hospital that has been abandoned for almost 30 years has a possible haunted past.
Norwich State Hospital had its first building built in 1904 and closed its doors in 1996.
Multiple buildings still sit alongside the road in Preston and Norwich but town officials say they are in the process of clearing them.
Some have been torn down already but the few remaining are currently covered in graffiti, have broken windows, decay, and asbestos.
The buildings are blocked behind a fence or gate with a lock on it to keep people from sneaking in. However, that hasn't stopped people from coming and exploring what's inside.
