EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- With a recent change in city government, the Evansville city council welcomes a new member through a caucus.
Officials say Rita Taylor was the only one who qualified to serve as a second ward city council member, replacing Missy Mosby. She says she is excited to see what the future will bring.
Rita Taylor spoke in front of a crowd and said she and Mosby have already had several conversations about what changes to make and how to implement them for Evansville's second ward.
Taylor first came to Evansville in 2007 after being relocated for work. In that time she's helped and served several non-profits and organizations. She says she learned the most while working at McGary Middle School.
