BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- The attorney representing the former Connecticut state official found guilty of 21 counts related to bribery and extortion has filed a motion requesting a post-trial hearing on potential jury misconduct.

Norm Pattis, Kosta Diamantis' defense attorney, filed the motion on Tuesday, requesting that members of the jury and the alternates be summoned to appear at a hearing to determine whether any were aware of press coverage of the case ahead of time or became aware during the trial.

In the motion, Pattis said that the foreperson of the jury left the courthouse after the verdict was recorded and said that, while she avoided news coverage of the trial and had not heard of the case before, others on the jury had.
