JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- North Carolina State Highway Patrol is searching for a driver that caused an accident that killed a powerline worker.
It happened near the intersection of Live Oak Church Road and Camille Drive in Selma.
NCSHP says someone driving a flatbed truck hit a powerline after failing to stop for a traffic team.
That's when a power worker got caught up in a low hanging wire and was ultimately killed.
The truck driver drove away from the scene.
At this time, there's no description available for the truck involved in the hit and run.
