MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team got off to a slow start in their final exhibition game, trailing Division III UW-Platteville 7-0 early.

The Badgers eventually eased away Wednesday, leading 31-22 at halftime and beating the Pioneers 69-53.

Nolan Winter led all scorers with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Wisconsin opens its season Monday against Campbell.
