RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – North Carolina State University plans to formally install Kevin Howell as the 15th chancellor in school history during a special ceremony on Thursday.
It’s set to be held at Reynolds Coliseum starting at 11 a.m.
The event is slated to have remarks from N.C. Senate leader Phil Berger, UNC System President Peter Hans, UNC Board of Governors Chair Wendy Murphy, N.C. State Board of Trustees Chair Ed Stack, as well as N.C. State Student Body President Isaac Carreno.
University leaders said the installation ceremony is part of N.C. State’s Red and White Week, including dozens of events for alumni and the campus community.
Howell was previously named as the new chancellor on March 19 and began his tenure on May 5. He replaced longtime N.C. State Chancellor Randy Woodson
