DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) - Today marks a somber anniversary for the loved ones of U.S. Army Sgt. Donisha Stroman.
Nine years ago, a hit-and-run crash ended the life of the 25-year-old soldier, daughter, and friend. After nearly a decade, her family says they still don’t have any answers.
“What’s going through my mind is that that person is still out there and I still have no answers,” Donisha’s mother, Sandra McCoy, said.
Stroman was an Army medic and an Iraq War veteran with a future her family describes as incredibly bright.
“At 25 years old, life was so great; she was grinding so hard, and somebody took her life. It’s not explainable,” said McCoy.
