Police have launched an investigation after a pair of balaclava-wearing men forced entry into a home and demanded money.

The incident took place on Sunday, October 26, around 3.20pm at a property on Albion Road.

The men, both wearing balaclavas, made off towards Albert Street. One was wearing black clothing and the other was wearing grey clothing.

There were no reports of any injuries and nothing was taken. Police are investigating the attempted robbery.

Detective Sergeant Sophie McWhinnie said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area to come forward.”
