Dallas Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on Saturday.

Williams was arrested after a Transportation Security Administration agent noticed a “black container containing a green leafy substance” in his suitcase, according to an incident report, per The Athletic . He was found with 1.5 ounces of marijuana in his luggage, which he admitted to and said his manager packed for him.

While the NBA doesn’t prohibit players from using marijuana, recreational marijuana remains illegal in Texas. However, Williams was charged with only a misdemeanor since he had less than 2 ounces of marijuana in his possession at the time of his arrest.
